What does Forest Floor do?

Forest Floor Company is a full service compost collection company. We come to your house to pickup on a convenient schedule. When you sign up with us, you will receive a 5-gallon bucket (for residential) that is picked up by our team either every week, or every other week. We take the filled bucket and leave a clean and sanitized one. We process those organics and turn them into premium compost and worm castings. Both of which you can receive from your service to put on your garden and plants. We also work with some awesome community partners to donate some of our compost and revitalize our soil.

We offer convenient curbside composting service throughout the Mid-Maryland, and Northern Virginia areas. With this option your bucket is picked up every week. We provide every customer with a 5-gallon bucket and a Gamma seal lid to keep away unwanted smells and pests. You’ll have your bucket picked up curbside by one of our friendly professionals and earn finished compost back as a part of your subscription. Also get exclusive access and discounts to our premium eco-friendly products before they go on sale to the public. You’ll receive an email with your pickup day of the week after signup.

Siah, our owner, brings together his deep understanding of soil science with a passion to reduce food waste. Siah has 10 years of experience as a civil and environmental engineer in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and has worked for some of the best civil engineering companies in the Washington D.C. metro area. His passion for the environment coupled with engineering experience drove him to create the Forest Floor Company a local compost pickup service and eco-friendly life style brand.
